It is the end of the year and everywhere is listing down the best of 2006.

Let me list down my own best of 2006:

Best Movie: Death Note
The sequel Death Note 2 is just as good, just that the surprise element is no longer there. A close second is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I went back to watch the 1st episode after watching it and I am still waiting for its 3rd instalment.

Best Drama: Sangdoo, Let's Go to School
This is quite an old Korean drama but I've watched it only this year, so I put it in the best of 2006. If you want a strictly 2006 drama, then I'll choose "My Girl". It follows the standard successful Cinderella formula, 2 rich guys like 1 poor girl, but at least this time round, the 2nd guy who always don't get the love of the girl did not do bad things to win the love of the girl.

Best Songs:
1. Our Love Will Always Last (From the OST of Korean drama "Save The Last Dance For Me")
2. 태양을 피하는 방법 (From Rain's Vol 2 album)
3. 離家出走 (From Janice's Do U Know... album)

1 & 2 are actually old songs which I've heard only this year.

Best Album: 舞娘 by Jolin Tsai
The dance songs really make you want to move and mid-tempo and slow songs like 马德里不思议 and 假装 are not bad. Even the rest are listenable.

Best Trip: Hokkaido
This is the furthest and coldest place I went this year. Although I fell sick on this trip, it still makes me want to go back to Japan again next year. Japan, I'm coming!!!

Best Read: Angels and Demons
I started by reading the Da Vinci Code after watching its movie, followed by its predecessor Angels and Demons. Will be looking forward to its movie.
