Who are They

My club J The other Lisbon club from the Portuguese Big Three and the only one to have won the Cup Winners Cup. Usually known in Europe as Sporting Lisbon, their official name is Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Stadium

Sporting plays at the new Estádio José de Alvalade, named after the founder of the club. This very colourful stadium was built for Euro 2004 and holds 50.000 spectators. One of the it's faetures is that all seats are arranged in a random color mix to give an illusion that the stadium is always full.

How to get there

The best way to arrive to Sporting stadium is by Metro. Use the station of Campo Grande in both the Green and Yellow Lines. If you want to go by bus, you can take any that goes to Campo Grande.

Around the stadium

Take a walk around Campo Grande garden.

If you want to continue groundhopping, there are two stadiums nearby that are not used for professional football: Estádio Universitário and Estádio 1º Maio. Estádio Universitário (N 38.751804 , W 9.161873) is located near Cidade Universitária metro station and Estádio 1º Maio (N 38.750944 , W 9.138836) is located at a walkable distance from Alvalade or Roma metro stations.
