Who are They

Casa Pia is an educational Institution founded in 1780 dedicated to helping youngsters in risk of social exclusion or without parental support. The club was formed in 1920 by former pupils of Casa Pia. They played in the first edition of the Portuguese Championship (1938/39) with the worst record ever (1 victory and 13 defeats).

Stadium

A 2.500 stadium near Lisbon in an edge of Monsanto Park.

The club started to play in Belém neighborhood, near Belenenses, but were forced to relocate to make way to the Portuguese World Exposition. The present stadium, named after the founder of Casa Pia, was opened in 1954 and was design by two former Casa Pia pupils. There are plans to redevelop this stadium but no real timescales presented.

The best way to arrive to Casa Pia stadium is by bus (24, 711 and 750). Bus number 24 passes also at Atlético stadium.
