Counseling
For a purpose

People should not necessarily be guided to doing what you would have wanted them to do. They should know what and why they are doing and that they have legitimate reasons for doing it, and only then should they do it. If not then its wrong.

They should never do anything without knowing why theyre doing it, especially if its a major decision in their life such as marriage, where theyre going to live, their employment and so on.

If theyre doing it just because they have nothing better to do that they have no good reason for doing it then they should evaluate their reasons more because they might be making a grave mistake.

This is basically the concept of tachlis. That term is used advisedly. Some people bandy it about in order to cast aspersions on others or to relay lashon hara. That is not the intention here.
