I had a few free days during my tour of Western Europe, so I was planning on doing a few countries like Israel - and boy, was I disappointed. I arrived in Israel and checked out my tourist guidebook. It told me about these major cities, Beer Sheba, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and maybe some others also. I wanted to do those cities, and then move on to Asia.
You can't do that in that your country. Those cities are far apart. You have to take a bus or a taxi or something to get to them.
I understand that Israel is a new country, right? Well, actually, somebody also told me that it's an old country, but most of the people say that it's new. But that's not the point.
While you guys were planning out your new country, couldn't you work it out more efficiently so that all of your cities would be right next to each other? That way, when somebody wants to visit those cities, he can go from one to the other without wasting a whole lot of time. After all, my friends said that you guys started off with barren land.
You know, the way they have it set up now, it might take days in order for you to be able to see everything that you want to. You have to waste a lot of money on hotels in all these other cities in order to see what's happening.
Why couldn't you guys think of this? I mean, like, do I have explain everything to you?
We know how to handle territories. Just look at the Indians. They gracefully gave us their land, and now they are happy to live in our great country peacefully with us.
Why don't you learn to be graceful about giving those Arabs some land, the same way that the Indians were graceful about giving us the land that rightfully belongs to us? That would bring about real peace.
