Think of the money we save by being here. Some of us once worked in voluntary American Zionist organizations. We're now working for the Big Zionist Organization, which saves us money all the time.
We save on El Al plane tickets to Israel. We're here. We save on hotel arrangements. We have our permanent "hotel" rooms. We save on big UJA dinners, with guilt trips for those who don't contribute. We got the trip but not the guilt (nor the gelt).
But, you still ask, what do we live on? How do we support ourselves? How do we put the bacon (oops!) on the table? We can't eat philosophy.
Ah, but there are some secrets that we can't reveal to those who don't live the system.
