You�ve heard the old joke about how to have a million dollars in Israel (come to Israel with two million dollars). There's considerable truth to that joke.
No, you don't need a million dollars to make it in Israel. Just as in your own home country, you always need more than the amount in your pocket. Thus, a goal to save "enough" money to live in Israel will serve no purpose other than to postpone your own Aliyah - possibly indefinitely.
King Solomon had the right answer to this question. You can never have enough money.
Furthermore, the amount of money in your bank account will not necessarily determine your degree of success in Israel.
You might decide to ignore King Solomon's advice, and to establish a target amount of money that is "needed" or "required" in order to succeed in Israel. You may work very hard over a long period of time in order to earn the requisite amount of money.
The basis for your calculation is likely to be rather fuzzy, and it is not likely to consider all of the facts:
True, it may be possible to reach the desired goal in a short amount of time. However, that raises a different set of issues:
No matter how you look at it, you cannot plan your Aliyah based on a monetary goal.
