Under capitalism People in most Western countries calculate whether they can afford things, such as another child, a trip abroad, or another luxury. These calculations are based upon their anticipated income, the money they have in the bank, the amount they feel that they can borrow, and other issues and factors. They may put aside a nest egg for unforeseen emergencies or events that may arise in the future.
This system collapses in Israel.
Nobody knows how much money they will make during any month. Nobody knows whether they can afford things. Therefore, nobody calculates things in advance. People get what they need and then work it out.
That concept surely seems strange to the Western mind. After all, a person can either afford things or can't afford things. How is it possible to buy what you need without knowing what you have?
Well, the system does work here, because so much depends upon miracles. No amount of calculations will affect the mysterious "pennies from heaven" or that blocked windfall that you anticipated.
Do things always work out?
Of course not. We all face severe money issues. However, we continue doing the same thing, since there is no alternative.
There are no lessons to be learned. It does no good to prove to someone that they overbought and now they have no money for things. That's just the way the system works.
Yes, even this crazy system is itself a system!
man exploits man.
Under socialism
it's just the opposite
