There are major differences between the educational system in Israel and that in other developed countries.
Israeli children are rarely exposed to serious, large, or good libraries. Their research is limited to the weak local collection, and supplemented by the Internet.
Granted, these resources offer a great deal, but they are certainly not the same as having real, traditional research resources.
Technology is also not the same as you enjoyed back in your home country.
Some of the basic educational facilities that teachers take for granted in other Western countries are not available or are highly restricted here.
Surprisingly, children who go through the Israeli system do receive a reasonably good education despite these limitations - and despite the poor salaries the teachers receive.
It must be because those good Jewish children are smart.
One cannot help but think what would have happened if those good Jewish brains were coupled with good facilities as well.
