Those from the Diaspora are notorious for speaking loudly on buses and other public places. After all, they are convinced that they are the only Real People on the bus. They are in a bubble. Yes, they may trip over seats, legs, suitcases, and doors in that fairy tale environment. They may even (occasionally) notice objects whose mouths exude strange right to left utterances.

Of course, Diaspora People know that if these people really wanted to communicate, they would speak English. Real People may use Hebrew for prayers or for studying religious issues in the original text, but even those who are serious about understanding the material translate it into English - the Real Language - as they study.

Even those who do know some Hebrew will ask the driver a loud question in English. They will not speak to him in Hebrew, because their question is important, and they want the driver to understand. Drivers are different from the other objects on the bus. Drivers are real.

Well, they had better be real, or else our tourists are in for a very scary ride!

Where do you want to go now?
