Israel is a wonderful place to visit. It's our homeland. However, it's not where real people live. That's where those brave and good Israelis face a daily battle against their surrounding enemies.
Israel might also be a good place for a brief sabbatical, after which you will come back to reality and return to your real homeland - America or France or Italy or wherever. Israel is not a place to remain in for any extended period of time or to create a life forever.
People leave Israel and go back "home." Obviously, Israel is not their home. When they return, they say that everything was fantastic. They really mean that everything was part of a fantasy. That is because they were not in a Real Place.
They may have had a similar experience had they visited Disneyland or Disney World. After the visit would be over, they would return to their Real Home: Durban or St. Louis or Sheffield.
