As the years go by it becomes clear that people have less and less patience. People don't want to listen to reason. People want instant answers. People are not thinking. People refused to think.
This has happened before - ' - and when the reason for the lack of thought is the fact that Hashem causes there to be no thinking, that's why people don't think. They go out to demonstrate in order to get action, but their demonstration is not going to help. ' is in the Torah for various reasons. One reason to help us think, to help us realize what happened then and what could be happening today. And indeed that's why it's in the Torah. That's the problem that it wants to show us. It happened first to the Egyptians and we were supposed to learn from that, to calm down and to think. Instead of thinking we don't think about things and we now are facing the results of this lack of thought.
This lack of patience has happened before and this lack of patience is happening now, but it's in the Torah. It's there to teach us a lesson and maybe we should all stop and do some thinking and see where we're going. Maybe we should plan our lives. Maybe we should set goals.
