This website does not encourage you to live in Israel - or even to visit the country. Israel is not for everybody. That fact may be (refreshingly) different from certain resources which almost beg you to come here.
Stay in the Diaspora, if that is your preference. Jews should indeed be thankful that the Diaspora offers them a temporary home. You don't have to make Aliyah.
Rationalize that decision, if you like, but don't be proud of it. The Diaspora is not a replacement for Israel.
It is also wrong to defend your decision to stay abroad by negating the value of Israel. Although Israel may have many faults, no Jew has the right to vilify, debase, or malign the country.
Some people did not realize this basic principle. In the early 1900s, they chose to announce that "Berlin is our Jerusalem."
G-d showed them what Berlin really represents. The subsequent Holocaust was clearly inimical to the future of the Jewish people. The Jerusalem that they so foolishly and callously rejected became the capital of the vibrant new Jewish entity.
However, they never lived to see Israel. The Jews in their "Jerusalem" were decimated, whereas the proud Jews in G-d's Jerusalem developed a flourishing homeland.
Stay abroad, if that is your choice. Get rich there if you can.
However, don't ever forget who you are, where you are, and where you would belong if you were worthy of it.
