Why can't they do things in Israel the way we do it in my own country?
Good question.
Many visitors to Israel have basic questions about the way we do things in Israel. They are upset to find that manners, quality, products, issues, attitudes, and food are not the way they expected them to be.
These complaints about differences between America and Israel are ludicrous.
After all, Israel is not an extension of the United States. It has developed its own society. Yes, that means that Israel is different.
Many people have difficulty accepting this seemingly obvious premise. They feel that the manner of life in their own home town, village, or country is "right" and proper. Other people (such as Israelis) who do things in other ways, are "wrong."
That doesn't justify or imply any value judgment on the manner of life in your own location or that in Israel.
It just means that both cultures are different.
That's all.
