Write in Hebrew, even though you don't really know the language.
Sounds strange? Do it anyhow.
You may be taking courses now. Although those courses are probably offered in English, you should take notes in Hebrew.
Your Hebrew won't be good enough to write everything, so make believe with some of the words. Don't worry - nobody else will know the difference. Transliterate some English words by using Hebrew letters, so that you will get used to listening and thinking in Hebrew.
This method may actually help you concentrate more on the lessons. It will also be a great conversation starter - and it will definitely be a good, passive way to put you in touch with curious Israelis.
