Who should read this website with articles about Israel?

Well, it isn't for everybody.

Some people living in the Diaspora will reject these articles.

• They do not match their preconceptions
• They dispel various myths
• They counter various things that they have read and heard
• The articles seem to be a lone voice in a cacophany of opposing testimony
• Many Diaspora Jews prefer to maintain their dream world

Some people living in Israel will reject these articles.

• They are too harsh
• They are too close to reality
• They may feel that some things are better left unsaid

Some people may be frustrated by these articles.

• They do know the reality in Israel
• They have been trying to put it into words, and they have failed
• The one-upmanship on this website may be insulting

Worst of all - as we learned from Tevye in Fiddler - the other points of view that these people have heard are also true.

So, who should read this website?

Well, we've excluded various people, but many important readers remain on the list:

• Shlichim: Emissaries to other countries
  They should have a clear view of their forthcoming job.

  Politicians around the world, including Israel

  They should realize that they are not fooling everybody.

  Those who are considering Aliyah

  They should receive straight answers to their questions, and not only the "official line."

  Those who detect a bit of a problem with the official Israeli line, or with CNN

  That information is basically true, but it has its own bias

  Those in Israel who feel that something in their understanding is amiss

  This website may help them put their finger on it

  Those who have an open mind, and who want to learn.

Aren't you glad that we thought of you when this website was being prepared?
