Conference
Exhibitiuon

Exhibitions are different from conferences. An exhibition has a good display of all of the products or services that you offer that people who can present this to the audience. You may have some workshops or lectures, if you want to. Try to keep the atmosphere festive, with music or maybe you can have some lotteries or other ways of keeping the people excited. Give away things. Invest in freeby stuff. It doesn't have to be expensive, but the people should walk away with their bags filled with things so that they will get excited about the conference and so they will tell others who weren't there that they missed a good thing. They'll be happy because they got some freebies. You'll be happy because you got them excited.

One way of getting their name and address in the difrferent booths is by offering a prize, gift, lottery, or whatever, to people who drop in their business card. They'll be happy to do so. They have nothing to lose but that business card. You'll be happy for the vendors will be happy because they got another possible potential client.

Dont' worry about kids who might take extra copies of your literature or business cards or who might take extra prizes. Don't make a fuss about it. You don't want to spoil the festive atmosphere. If somebody gets yelled at or balled out he's not going to like you. It isn't worth it for the small amount that you lost on those extra prizes.

People who are excited about what you have to offer are going to come back for more.

In education, it's useful to have a display of teaching products and the teachers will then be able to come and see what they have. Give them some freebies also and they will then come back to your company or publisher when it's time to put something out.
