| Provinciae Germaniae Inferioris Mission Statement (proposal, yet to be approved) This is a working document for the cives of Germania Inferior, about how to make this new born province worth while for all of its members. Anybody, inside our outside the province may add his or her remarks via mail to Caius Cornelius Puteanus, in order to make this page really interactive. The cives of Germania Inferior have discussed this text and its additions on their meeting on December 29th. Program 1. General objectives : Furthering the provincia by increasing its number of active cives * contacting potential groups such as students (history, ancient history, classical languages and whoever may be interested in joining Nova Roma) * announcements in local media (for free or with little costs) via student newspapers etc. * contacting local reenactment groups, eventually also from the ancient 'Germania Inferior', such as the group of Varus in Germania Superior (reenactment group having several gettogethers in Germania Superior, real Roman style) and other groups that are mentionned in the scriba's report * recontacting all members of the provincia, also those that haven't given a sign of life for a long time * stimulating other meetings on provincial level, centered around festivals of e.g. religious nature (religio romana) * collective museum or archelogical site visits * associations with other groups of heathen nature, such as Werkgroep Traditie, Pagan Federation International (Belgium), Heidendom Nederland, Pagan Federation International (Netherlands) etc. with as objective the furthering of Religio Romana * eventually referenda and polls can be organised within our provincia concerning specific topics of political, religious, social and other nature * concrete projects such as the making of a Roman CD or videa about a meeting etc. can be sponsored 2. Political objectives * first and most important of all is the independence and recognition by the senatus within Nova Roma * the election and appointment of a governor * the establishment of some structure for reporting to the central government and the organisation of provincial administration and activities * the creation of a provincial tax system (how small it may be), with control function of at least two people, in order to be able to organise activities and to sponsor others 3. Web based activities * Maintenance of our provincial website as an up to date instrument for all within Nova Roma and a first point of contact for eventual new members * Integration of the scriba's report in the website and with as much information on it as possible * Creation of a provincial Album Civium, linked to the Album of the central webpage, preferably with pictures of its members, in order to establish first contact * Announcement of happenings of the provincia itself and musea, events, specialised media etc. on it * Photos of meetings added to the site, to invite new members and to show how serious we are and of course as a nice gadget for our current cives * Publication of the website on local and international search engines (however that may be?) * Cooperation with other provinciae in order to have similar information and/or features on site |
