January 21st, 1998
I started my first (Thermolysis) today. Just a short 20 min session to my lower neck to see how painfull it is. Well - nothing I am going to like - but I will go through with it.!
March 1998
I contacted my doctor in the first week of March and told her that I take female hormones. She took it very well and ordered a blood test. To my big surprise the MALE horms were normal (13,1 nmol / l = 3.8 ng/ml = 3.8mikrogramm / liter) and FEMALE horms (Estrogenes < 10ng / l) very low. And I thought that at that time I was close to the upper limit of estradiol in my blood. Well, my doc is now getting infos for herself to decide how to continue with it. I hope she will give me depot-injections for a more constant hormone level in my blood.
April 13th, 1998
My doctor contacted another specialist and now demands that I see a psychologist before she will treat me. Damn! So it seems I have only the choice to go on like now or contact the psychologist.
April 15th, 1998
Today I made an appointment with the psychologist for friday 24th of April.
April 24th, 1998
Today I had my first and last session with the psychologist. The result is as I had expected. I won't get his official
consent for hormone treatment because I don't fit the requirements of a TS. So I have to see how things go on.
April 30th, 1998
I called my doctor and told her about the outcome of my appointment with the psychologist. Now she will first call
the psychologist and talk with him and then call me back. From her voice I guess she will NOT help me with hormones.
May 18th, 98.
My doc hasn't called me back, yet. Now I'm trying to find other resources for hormones in case she doesn't support me.
June 10th, 98.
Still no reaction from my doc. But I hope to have found a good & cheap supply of hormones.
June 25th, 98
A great step for me. I managed to get hold of enough hormone products for the next time.
I had my first Progynone (20mg) & Depot-Provera (75mg) injection today. And I have tabletts of Androcur 25mg twice a day (antoandrogene) and Provera 5mg twice a day. So now I hope things will speed up.
