Weekend Thoughts
As everybody knows by now, I am a Libertarian. I believe that the War on Drugs is one of the biggest flops in the history of our government. I believe that everybody has the personal right to do whatever they want to do to themselves as long as it does not infringe on anybody else's rights or liberties through force or fraud. Do I think that you should do drugs? No I don't, however you have every right to if you choose, just remember what Nancy Reagan said "Just Say NO!"
Why burn the American Flag?
Do you have the right to burn the American Flag? The House of Representatives just passed a bill that would constitutionally make it a crime to desecrate the American Flag. Where do you stand? Do you think it is such a crime to desecrate the American flag that one deserves jail time? Thank goodness it takes the approval of the Senate and ratification by the states to amend the Constitution. The United States Flag stands for freedom, and that includes freedom of expression. So why do we want to create an amendment to take away our very right of freedom of expression (that includes burning of the flag)? Here is another bill brought to you by your government to take more of your rights and liberties away, however it does not have a chance for the Senate to pass such a bill. The 1st Amendment not only protects those rights of the majority, but also those of the minority (even if the actions are unpopular). Thus, you have every right to desecrate the flag as you please...just make sure you don't do it around me or any other Patriotic American because you will be punished in other ways. For those of you that wouldn't stand up to burning of the American Flag then you are those Americans that do not appreciate what the flag means and represents. These Americans are the very same ones that would not go to war to protect our country and constitution. Therefore, there is no need for any amendment that further restricts our rights. Anybody that desecrates the American Flag will have to answer to me and every other Patriotic American in the United States and beyond. As one Senator put it, "The American Flag stands for freedom, thus we cannot put it above what it symbolizes."
Quotes of the Day
"Republicans believe every day is 4th of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15." - Ronald Reagan
"It was leadership here at home that gave us strong American influence abroad, and the collapse of imperial Communism. Great nations have responsibilities to lead, and we should always be cautious of those who would lower our profile, because they might just wind up lowering our flag." - Ronald Reagan (RNC Annual Gala, Feb. 3, 1994)
"We need true tax reform that will at least make a start toward restoring for our children the American Dream that wealth is denied to no one, that each individual has the right to fly as high as his strength and ability will take him. . . . But we cannot have such reform while our tax policy is engineered by people who view the tax as a means of achieving changes in our social structure." - Ronald Reagan (October 27, 1964)
"We are for a provision that destitution should not follow unemployment by reason of old age, and to that end we have accepted Social Security as a step toward meeting the problem. However, we are against those entrusted with this program when they practice deception regarding its fiscal shortcomings, when they charge that any criticism of the program means that we want to end payments." - Ronald Reagan (October 27, 1964)
"Public servants say, always with the best of intentions, "What greater service we could render if only we had a little more money and a little more power." But the truth is that outside of its legitimate function, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector." - Ronald Reagan (October 27, 1964)
"Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence." - Ronald Reagan (Los Angeles Times, January 7, 1970)

Lately it has been pretty tough trying to get things straight around here. Summer classes are really fasted paced, they don't give you time to sleep most often, and they like to give homework that is virtually impossible to finish unless you stay up with your friend named NoDoze. Well, unfortunately I'm one of those people that may have a tad bit of a problem with procrastination. So what...sue me? LOL...Updating my website has proven a greater task than my homework now. I once put homework aside to update my website, now I give kind of weak updates that really don't have any value. You know what I think? It may be the Liberals trying to get me away from spreading the word of Libertarianism and Conservatism. How about that for an update? I'm just kidding folks, I have something pretty big lined up soon. I got so bored in class that I actually wrote 4 articles. However, it would take much of a load off it someone other than myself contributed articles to the website. As I said before, please email me either on ways to improve, articles, pictures, whatever it may be...just something that maybe I can post and ease the stress during these last two weeks of school. Okay, enough begging. Thanks for visiting. I will have a regular update tomorrow, promise.

Finals are coming up, thank goodness. I'll still try to update everyday, but some of these may be short. Sorry, things should normalize in about 2 weeks. If you would like to write articles to post on my website please email me those articles and I will give you full credit for your hard work.

Have you gotten a speeding ticket yet?
If you haven't received your award yet, claim your prize at your local police station. We have tolerated this nonsense about speed limits for way too long. What was it like before 1974 during the so called "energy crisis?" Was there actually an energy crisis or mass hysteria fed by the liberal media? I would not really know because I did not live in those times. However what I do know is that the mandate for speed limits proved to be another control plot to take some of our freedoms on the highway away. (Just recently they took our cell phone rights away.) Sure you got those citizens that want to say that the speed limit was enacted to "conserve energy" and to save lives. Yes, maybe it was enacted to temporarily relieve the energy crunch we may have had, but as for saving lives I beg to differ. After the "energy crisis" seem to dissolve itself the speed limits remained. Why? To improve traffic safety was their reason, although it proved that the scientific studies proved to be contrary. In 1995, Congress finally repealed the 55 mph limit and gave the states the rights to set the speed limit. What we have to question is, did a lower speed limit help reduce speeding? You can be the judge of that. Have you not speed in some ridiculously low speed limit area only to have a cop waiting for you at the end of the curb? You can bet your next ticket that speeding violations generate a massive amount of revenue for the state, thus they are less likely to want a ban on speed limits. Do you think your freedom has been run over yet?

Happy Birthday Veerle!!!
Go ahead, teach your agenda in our schools...
The infestation of liberalism in our higher-level learning institutions breeds new brain-washed recruits for the leftist agenda. With the teaching of constructivist mathematics and the praise of FDR's socialist expansion of government in our schools, how can the right leaning individual endure the fight any longer? Are the left trying to dumb down our nation so that they can further tear our constitution in half? Liberals want Americans to be more dependent on the government so that they can just take more of your rights away. How do they advance their objectives when it blatantly goes against the American Citizen? It starts once you enter the public educational system of the United States. It takes an exceptional student with an open mind to survive this world of racist law such as Affirmative Action and the thievery of the hard-working person through taxation. How did these teachers get into our school system? How did these leftist, anti-military, pro-affirmative action teachers infiltrate our schools? They did it by dodging the draft during war and went to school to get their degrees to teach. Don't get me wrong, there are some teachers out there that are very good and care about the student. However the majority of today's teachers were the very same ones that protested war (i.e. our security) and burned the American flags when they were in college. So then one might think that the liberal Democrats are more intelligent than the conservative Republicans, thus they are entitled to get jobs in our educational system. Sure Bill Clinton and Bill Bradley were both Rhodes Scholars, but where did they go for that recognition to study? They went to England! So what is so bad about England? The English are left-leaning socialists that train our Democrat leaders of today. So who are the Right-Wing Conservative people? We are the engineers, the scientists, the mathematicians who have a skill or trade to provide for the better of our country's safety, economy, and advancement. For all of those Conservative Teachers out there...thank you and keep up the good work. However, I'm not saying that all of these trades are full of Right-Wing Conservatives, but in those fields the use of logic and rational thinking is required. The liberals do not know the meaning of these terms and how to put them to use.
