Weekend Thought
Please, let's pay our respect this weekend to those that have died for a cause greater than themselves. The United States would not be where it is today without those men. "Remember the Alamo!"
The Liberal Storm?
Tropical Storm Barry, and all other Tropical Storm and Hurricanes, must be all registered as a Democrat or Socialist. We at least know that they lean to the left (in which I hope it doesn't lean to the right cause I am in Florida right now.) You see, you can go around your daily life and mind your own business...but just like a good Liberal the storm comes and wants to take your rights away (in this case your right to life). In addition, if it doesn't get to you the first time then it works its way around, finding some loophole, and then screws you over severely the next time around. Oh, and you must admit that the storm doesn't "discriminate," yet it seems to hit the poor communities harder than the rich ones. What a hypocrite. Just don't let Jesse Jackson and the ACLU know about this. Actually, maybe if they do know about this they will stand outside and Barry can shake their hand and suck them up to where they belong. However the storm may find a hard time trying to pick up Al Sharpton because that is a lot of weight to carry on your shoulders. I'm sick of these Liberal idiots, what we need is one giant storm to pick all these left-leaning people up.

All Men & Animals are created equal?
Why do some people think that animals have more rights than humans? Why would some citizens rescue a cat in a tree rather than run into a burning house to save a family? And you thought that we stood up for our own species...some people even think that their so called "pet" have equal rights as you and I. How absurd... People need to get their minds straight on what species they want to involve themselves because if they don't like us Homo Sapiens there really isn't anything else for them to do about it but jettison themselves off in space with the other junk we send up there. Here is an absurd story taken from Nealz Nuze that portrays the idiocy of these so called "activists" that are in the best interest of the ANIMALS instead of HUMAN lives.

FOUR DEAD FIREMEN --- FOR
ENDANGERED FISH?
This is a prime and disgusting example of the essential idiocy of government and the semi-employable people who draw government salaries.
This story first came to my attention on the Fox News Channel last night. It was about a forest fire last month in the Okanogan National Forest near the community of Winthrop, Washington.
I’m going to cover this entire debacle on the program today. Here, though, is a synopsis for those of you who live in areas where mindless talk station program directors haven’t yet added Boortz to their lineups.
A group of firefighters are fighting a relatively small fire. There’s a river running right through the fire area. The firefighters call for a helicopter water drop. Denied. Denied why? Because the river contains some endangered fish and there is a policy against dipping fire-fighting water out of streams or rivers with endangered fish.
While Forest Service and environmental experts were sitting in an air conditioned offices discussing whether or not they would permit a helicopter water drop from this river four firefighters burned to death. Two young men aged 30 and 21. Two young women aged 18 and 19.
Four courageous young lives sacrificed – for fish.
As I said – I saw this on the
Fox News Channel last night. There will be more on Special Report with Brit
Hume tonight. Question: Did any of you see any coverage of this incident on
any other networks last night? Now that it’s becoming a larger news story
they’ll probably be forced to pay some attention to it.

Here is another link about the absurdity of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and how far off the deep end they have gone.

Former President Carter heads Election Reform
Former Democrat President Carter suggests to Current President Bush certain revisions of our election system. Here are a few of their recommendations:
Election Day should be declared a national holiday
States should establish statewide systems for voter registration.
States should allow provisional voting.
Congress should set up a new Election Administration Commission to establish and test voluntary standards for state systems.
News organizations should refrain from calling presidential elections.
Election day should NOT be a national holiday. The reason why I disagree with this comes from the amount of time it takes to vote. It does not take a whole day to vote, thus there is no reason for a national holiday for Election Day. We need to move the voting to the weekend where more people have the leisure to go vote. Provisional voting suggested that blacks were turned away from the polls last year (yet a study showed no discrimination of this sort). So their recommendation is to have anybody that claims that they are able to vote let them vote and then we can sort it out later. In addition, going along with the Socialist Democratic Party, President Carter even suggests the creation of a new Election Administration Commission. Look, we do not need another Government department. We already have an Election Administration, therefore there is no need to create another government commission to take more of taxpayers money. I saved the best for last Panel: Restore Vote for Felons...for Felons! Why would the commission want to restore vote for felons? The majority of felons vote Democrat, therefore it is to the Democrats advantage to restore felons voting privileges. You develop your own idea on the underlying agenda of this study.

I know lately we have been doing a lot of articles of specific topics. From the Federal Reserve and Gun control, it seems like that last week was flooded with these topics that are important but may not be so appealing to my audience. Well, tough luck, if you think that they are so boring that your time isn't worth spending reading it. You are on your way to handshaking with a liberal. But I know it can be tedious but they both are very important topics that I have addressed. Especially Gun Control. I was initially going to write an article of my view of Gun Control. However, it seems like you have already found out my stance on it. I do back the 2nd amendment, and those that do not are fools, and when it comes for them to defend their freedom, the government has taken their gun away. Good luck, and I do not suggest anybody coming into my house to take my gun, otherwise they will meet my friend Ruger. Today we are going off the political scene for a bit to talk about my favorite subject: Mathematics.
All is Math...
If one could only understand the above statement our lives would be a better place to live. We would have so many more rational, logical thinkers that the world would be a safer, yet more intelligent place to live. You have to admit, those students that know mathematics are probably more brilliant than some English or Education majors. I'm not just saying that because I'm an Engineer, I'm saying it because it is true. It is ridiculous when I go up to a Wendy's and the lady behind the counter has to give me $0.91 in change and she gives me 9 dimes and 1 penny. What about using the other denominations? You may say that she may have ran out...well, what were all those quarters doing in the cash register? It is sad people...it is sad when the Liberals try to dumb down their own citizens in mathematics because it develops critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. At least they know what subject brews intelligence and independent thinking. One must understand that Math is universal. Sure you can have your Spanish, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and French...but you can go everywhere around the world or the universe and 1+1=2. Unless you were learned in a constructivist mathematics school...then 1+1=5 (as long as you worked in a group to get the answer.) It is insane and we need to do something about dumbing down our children...especially in mathematics. Why do I care? It hurts me every time I see a high school senior that cannot find X for 2+X=10. Better yet, I talk to somebody in High School and their favorite class is Art or Drama. What about Calculus, Geometry, or Algebra for heaven's sake? Or at least one of the sciences. We consistently lower the bar and let more students that cannot read and write out of our school system, but hey...somebody has to cook the fries.

Well, today is my last day of classes for summer school. I'm glad it is over, but I only have 3 weeks of vacation then it is back to the same ol' stuff. Well, finals are today so I have a special update from Diego that he has compiled for the issue of gun control. THANKS DIEGO!!!

--An off-duty security guard in Chicago was sitting in his
second-floor apartment Monday afternoon when a man broke into the basement of
the building. The guard's home had been burglarized twice in the past week. He
grabbed his handgun and found the intruder in the basement. The intruder
retreated farther into the basement, then tried to grab for the guard's gun. The
guard pushed him away, but the gun discharged. Too bad. The intruder was shot in
the abdomen and died after surgery. He had been convicted of criminal trespass
last year and was found guilty of shoplifting in March.

-- Tuesday night in Petersburg, Virginia, a masked man dressed in black burst
into a home, waving a gun. But the homeowner had a gun of his own. He shot the
intruder dead. Authorities are having a difficult time identifying the body,
because the dead dude wasn't carrying any identification.

-- A driver got lost in Charleston, South Carolina, on Saturday
and stopped to ask a stranger for directions. The man punched him and tried to
get into his sport-utility vehicle. Five other men approached. One of them
reached into the vehicle, put it in park, and pulled the keys from the ignition.
The driver pulled a .25-caliber pistol from the glove box and fired a shot at
the closest man. The man he shot was arrested and is suspected in the robbery of
a motorist at knifepoint last Monday.

-- Two 16-year-olds went on a carjacking and robbery rampage in
Tampa, Florida, early Sunday. For more than four hours, Marcus Stewart and
Maurice Thomas robbed people in their cars and threatened others. One man was
sent to the hospital after Thomas hit him in the head with a rock. Then they
tried to rob a Hungry Howie's restaurant. Thomas approached the counter with a
shotgun. The owner responded with three shots from his own handgun, hitting
Stewart twice. Both predators are in police custody.

-- A family pet attacked a babysitter and the Kent Island,
Maryland, fire chief on Saturday. The fire chief shot the 100-pound Akita
several times, and a state trooper finally killed it with a shotgun.

-- A Bible-carrying, Scripture-quoting passenger got into Rodney
Jones' cab in Cincinnati early Saturday morning. The driver thought he was a
priest. But the passenger put a choke hold on Jones and held a gun to his right
cheek. The fake priest commandeered Jones' cab, but crashed it soon afterward.
Then he tried to hold up another cab--but that driver was armed! He fired a
warning shot into the air, scaring the passenger off. He ran and was quickly
cornered by police.

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?
VICE PRESIDENT GORE
I fight for the chickens and I am fighting for the chickens right now. I will
not give up on the chickens crossing the road! I will fight for the chickens and
I will not disappoint them.
GOVERNOR GEORGE W. BUSH
I don't believe we need to get the chickens across the road. I say give the road
to the chickens and let them decide when and how they want to cross the road.
The government needs to stop interfering with the chickens so they can cross the
road.
SENATOR LIEBERMAN
I believe that every chicken has the right to worship in their own way. Crossing
the road is a spiritual journey and no chicken should be denied the right to
cross the road in their own way.
DICK CHENEY
Chickens are big-time animals because they have wings. They could fly if they
wanted to. Chickens don't want to cross the road. They don't need help crossing
the road. In fact, I'm not interested in crossing the road myself.
RALPH NADER
Chickens are misled into believing there is a road by the evil tiremakers.
Chickens aren't ignorant, but our society pays tiremakers to create the need for
these roads and then lures chickens into believing there is an advantage to
crossing them. Down with the roads, up with chickens.
PAT BUCHANAN
To steal a job from a decent, hardworking American.
DR. SEUSS
Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes! The chicken crossed the road,
But why it crossed, I've not been told!
ERNEST HEMINGWAY
To die. In the rain.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
I envision a world where all chickens will be free to cross without having their
motives called into question.
GRANDPA
In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us that
the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.
ARISTOTLE
It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
KARL MARX
It was a historical inevitability.
SADDAM HUSSEIN
This was an unprovoked act of rebellion and we were quite justified in frying
those chickens.
RONALD REAGAN
What chicken?
CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK
To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.
FOX MULDER
You saw it cross the road with your own eyes. How many more chickens have to
cross before you believe it?
FREUD
The fact that you are at all concerned that the chicken crossed the road reveals
your underlying sexual insecurity.
BILL GATES
I have just released e-chicken 2000, which will not only cross roads, but will
lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook - and
Internet Explorer is an inextricable part of e-chicken.
EINSTEIN
Did the chicken really cross the road or did the road move beneath the chicken?
BILL CLINTON
I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What do you mean by "chicken"? Could
you define "cross" please?
GEORGE BUSH
I don't think I should have to answer that question.
LOUIS FARRAKHAN
The Road, you see, represents the black man. The chicken crossed the "black man"
in order to trample him and keep him down.
THE BIBLE
And God came down from the heavens, and He said unto the chicken, "Thou shalt
cross the road." And the chicken crossed the road, and there was much rejoicing.
COLONEL SANDERS
I missed one?
