These are a few of my writings that, one way or another, found thier way out of my journals, so I've posted them here.

Untitled

Quiet yearning,
Soft whispers in the night,
Vivid memories;
Wanting everything to be right;
Drowning confusion,
Not knowing what to do;
Conflicting emotions,
Only one can be true;
Stay steadfast,
Strength in that which is told;
Or tempt Fate,
And risk it all for more;
Grasping to find,
A glimmer of Truth;
But in the end,
There's only You.

Led

Just left of the brink of confusion
It's not right to draw this conclusion.
Star-studded and silent, a whisper of light,
Drifts towards the door, concerned not with right,
But knows only the longing of darkness consumed,
A dream of a hope for a love that's entombed.
Filled to the brim with visions of truth,
Knowing no lies, it's heart soars through the roof,
And it flies through the night, racing always ahead
Always just out of its reach, towards the darkness its led.

Loves Fire

"What's the matter?" she cried
And in jest I replied
In jest I denied
Life's hottest ember,
The one that burns brightest
in the bleak of December,
That's defined by the warmth
It gives in the winter,
The comforting glow
You'll always remember.
And to her I lied,
For the searing flame
Scared me inside.
Fearing to be burned
By the passion unturned,
That I inwardly yearned,
Wanting yet fearing,
Knowing the searing
I saw wasn't nearing,
But softly burning
Slowly twisting
Ever turning
Alive with desire
That can never tire
Filling me with the warmth,
That is Love's great fire.

Rain

"Into each life some rain must fall"
But a torrent can destroy us all;
While a shower of affliction
Can strengthen our convictions,
A flood of sorrow; bleak despair;
Corrodes the soul beyond repair;
"Into each life some rain must fall"
But a torrent can destroy us all;
A drizzle of conflict and of strife
Will build character in life,
Yet a monsoon of sadness drowns the heart,
Pulling life and love apart.
"Into each life some rain must fall"
But a torrent can destroy us all.

Yesterdays

Unable to give in
Not wanting it to end
Desperately holding on
Long after it is gone,
And actualized fears
Come with unbidden tears,
At the tattered remains
Of a heart long slain.
Because the truth lies
And the "Always" dies,
Forever only stays
In the yesterdays.

Sonnet 1

This isn't how it is supposed to go
When love finds like love, that's sure and true
It's supposed to stay strong, mature, and grow
Not wither away, leave you sad and blue
It can't be beaten by stick or by word
It finds strength and joy in the little things
Through the most blaring strife it can be heard
And it will soothe away hates bitter sting
But our love has felt the touch of decay
And with it chaos has entered my life
But with hope and with faith to guide my way
Mayhaps I can lead our love out of strife.
And if our love on earth is not to be
I shall wait for thee in eternity.

Imagination

Your greatest friends in times of despair
Are the ones that are not there,
The ones that are inside your mind
Leading you towards what you must find,
The one thing that is your salvation
Your haunted, lonely imagination.

Hand In Hand

Candlelit memories flicker by
In the lonely hollows of my minds eye,
I never dared in my most haunted dreams
To think the thought of what, it seems,
Has become the truth, so bitter real,
Can't be a dream cause I know I feel
The acrid pain, the hurt of loss,
Despair and grief, thats the cost
Of losing you, and now I know
That love walks hand in hand with sorrow.

Broken

You don't even know what it is you lost
But deep in your heart you can feel it gone
An emptiness, a void, a broken bond,
A turmoil that leaves you tempest-tossed.
And you want it back, whatever the cost
A yearning that drives you forever on
It lies just ahead, on the golden dawn,
But it's grown cold with time, it's rimmed with frost.

Welcome to Hell...

Where you been?
Don't matter 'cause
You ain't goin' there again.
Hallucinogens,
Drinkin' gin,
Smokin' up on carcinogens,
Gettin' high...
Brakin' down and
Wonderin' why.
Wantin' to fly,
Dyin' to try,
Tryin' to die,
And you still wonder why!
I was there once too,
I was just like you,
Hittin' the gas,
Tryin' to pass,
But you ain't gonna last.
Your livin' my past,
Havin' a blast.
But it'll blow up in your face
You ain't gonna beat death
It's always keepin' pace.
You'll never win the race,
Just end up a disgrace,
With a pocket full of coke,
You don't know that it's laced.
And then in the end, when
The toller rings his bell,
And you wonder why you fell
I'll just look up and I'll smile......
"Welcome to Hell..."
