Tool Consecration, Wiccan
Basically, to consecrate a tool or object, you visualize/send white light energy into it, or projective energy, from your projective hand (the one with which you write), and then, pass it through the items you have for the elements -- incense (element of air and fire), candle flame (fire), water (water; duh, grin), and salt (earth element); and then, bless it by the Goddess and God (or a named goddess and god, such as, Aradia and Cernunnos, or Artemis and Apollo, or Isis and Osiris, and so on); and hold it to harmonize with your aura and spirit/Spirit, again (you have you soul, and your part of your spirit, too, which is part of the Great Spirit, or that spark of Divinity within you, in that way); and then, use it right away to bind the consecration, like to consecrate something else, or to invoke a deity (one you want present, and reverently), etc. Also, you just consecrate a tool before the first use, usually. (Other Note; on offerings: offerings and libations connect you with Deity, allow you to commune a little more, and show your reverence; if they don't work well for you, there's many other ways to show your reverence and appreciation; and the God/Goddess already have everything there is, and are a part of All.)
Match, to the parts of the consecration rite, the following verses, or some verses similar, for each part, respectively:
For the white light energy: "I cleanse and charge you to assist me in all my positive magickal workings, by the power of Spirit."
For the elemental cleansings: "I bless and consecrate you by the element of air (pass it through the incense smoke), fire (pass it through the candle flame), water (sprinkle some blessed water on it), and earth (sprinkle salt on it), to aid me in the sacred circle, and all my magick." Don't ruin an item, like a nice piece of jewelry, or a robe, by passing it through salt, or fire. You could use something red to represent fire, and a crystal, like a piece of hematite, to touch to it, to represent earth, and so on.
To harmonize with you aura: "Harmonize with my aura, my spirit, my soul, my energies, and be an extension of me -- my tool -- in my magickal workings."
At last, hold item/object aloft to the sky, and say, something like: "Goddess and God {names, if you wish}, and One Spirit, bless this item and let it do my will, in all magick I desire, save it harm none. (Visualize the deities blessing it). This item {you can state name of tool at any time in the consecration, i.e., wand of wood, or athame [knife] of steel, or whatever} is consecrated in the Names of the God and Goddess, and of the five elements, earth, air, fire, water, and Spirit, and by the powers of Earth, Sun, Moon, and stars, {holding item aloft to the sky}, and by all of my powers, So mote it be! Blessed Be!"
Then, use the item, like a wand to invoke a goddess, or an athame to consecrate something else (hold the tip of it to the item, and send energy into it, through there, etc., and so on), or a pentacle disc to hold an item to be consecrated, and likewise. Also, if possible, sleep with the item(s) under your pillow for three nights after, and keep them near you for a moon cycle (a lunar month), at least, to absorb more of your energy, and harmonize them with you, more. Don't use them for anything other than magickal workings. Don't let other people touch your sacred or magickal items (but don't be a bitch about it), and don't go touching other people's magickal items without permission, and especially don't let people that are negative touch your magickal items, tools, statues, etc., (though, note, covens have their own tools that the initiated coven members may all use, generally; though, maybe a High Priestess or High Priest could only touch the sword, or something). Always show respect, and be polite, in someone else's house (or hey, all the time); and don't ever mock someone else's spiritual path or ways (there's proper and improper conduct, in other words, for Witches, Wiccans, and other people; such as, too, "Speak ye little, listen much," and, "To Will, To Know, To Dare, and To Keep Silent," and so forth). Also, Full Moon and New Moon Esbats are a great time to consecrate items. Blessed Be!
