Why do words always get in the way
Our words only speak the lies
But our minds hold the truth
If we spoke our minds
Words wouldn't be a problem
But who then would listen

Why do people always say "forget it"
When you know damn well they want to talk about it
Why do people say things they don't mean
Then choose to run from the truth

What is it in our emotions that makes us human?
Why do i have to express what I feel
When its obvious that I don't want to?
