The mainland Chinese are in turmoil. 20 years of economic reform without a hint of political freedom have created a highly corrupt goverment , wealthly regional pockets and a huge mass of displaced former farm peasants migrating towards to cities. The Communist Party is facing another revolution from within.

It intends to deflect the attention from its internal calamity by inciting hostilities within its military sphere of influence.

When the Secretary General of NATO announced that the RUSSIAN Federation would be admitted to the NATO alliance against the objections of a beligerant CHINESE Government , the People's Liberation Army of CHINA began to deploy divisions and weapons along the Manchurian border focussing on the warm water port of Vladivostok.

Although Imperial China ceded the area to Russia over 140 years ago, and its current population is 85% Russian, the PRC still considers it to be Chinese territory. Known historically for their ability to wait out political upheavals over centuries, it appears that the Chinese are now ready to play their military advantage to correct what they are calling "an ancient injustice."

NATO & the United Nations, however, are not to be fooled by such a chirard. The UN General Assembly has voted in a new constitution which will effectively remove CHINA from the Security Council in the next session when the permanent member system will be discarded. The NATO arsenal will now become the new teeth of the UN unobstructed by vetos from the former & current Super powers.

Recent intelligence reports indicate that approximately 10% of Chinese troops and up to 40% of the country's air and naval forces are now stationed in Manchuria. It is believed that the PRC may be preparing for an assault on the Russian "Maritime Region" and the port of Vladivostok.

Recognizing the precarious position of its former enemy, and the threat an aggressive China would pose to the political balance of Eastern Asia, the US Government, earlier this year, had agreed to lease and naval facilities in the Maritime Region from Russia as part of its committment to NATO. However, the American presence in the region seems to have intensified the situation and reports of encounters with Chinese fighters over Russian airspace have increased.

CVN84/BG is currently steaming out of the Panama Canal in route to Taiwan. It will take the Battle Group one month to arrive off the coast of Taiwan. For the time being NATO forces in the area, Commanded by Lt.General Oliver North Jnr. ,are to fend off any invasion by the PLA.

VLADIVOSTOK-2010 CAMPAIGN RULES

All 84-Group aviators will follow the commands of superior officers at ALL times.

Aviators WILL NOT deviate from the assigned targets or flight paths unless advised by mission commander. Also, you will carry the weapons load out assigned by your squad CO that best accomplishes the overall mission objective.

Pilots claiming credit for completed mission, Air-to-Air kills, and Landing grades, must take screenshots of their DEBRIEF pages and submit them to Capt.Wedge or myself via email so we can verify the kills, landing grade, and Alive/Dead status. Please send screenshots in JPG form, preferably in zip file to save transfer time.

Pilots who are killed during the missions will have a 48hr stand-down from campaign flight, EJECTS will have a 24hr stand-down and if possible a screenshot of the map showing their location should be taken to evaluate SAR possibility.

If you are accidentally disconnected during the mission it will be considered an aircraft malfunction and you returned-to-base. INTENTIONAL disconnects will not be tolerated for any reason and will have repercussions on the individual.
