KOREA 2001

On November 1 1950, the Chinese PLA attack in force in the area near Unsan, KOREA  to stem the tide of UN forces routing the North Korean Regular Army.

Four days later , General Douglas MacArthur orders, with Presidential approval, the bombing of the Korean ends of the Yalu bridges, as well as all factories, lines of communication, cities, and villages between the U.N. lines and the Yalu River. The bombing fails to prevent the flow of Chinese troops already massing covertly into hills of North Korea .

On November 25th , 20 Chinese Army Divisions attack  General Walker's Eighth Army, which is forced into a general retreat.

The CV-34 Battle Group  [ CV-34 Oriskany  & CVB-41 Midway ]  CVW-25 has arrived on station near Wosan to assist in the UN campaign to hold and turn the Chinese invasion. 5MAW, after supporting the landings at Inchon and Wosan,  are already in place.

KOREA-2001 CAMPAIGN RULES

All 84-Group aviators will follow the commands of superior officers at ALL times.

Aviators WILL NOT deviate from the assigned targets or flight paths unless advised by mission commander. Also, you will carry the weapons load out assigned by your squad CO that best accomplishes the overall mission objective.

Pilots claiming credit for completed mission, Air-to-Air kills, and Landing grades, must take screenshots of their DEBRIEF pages and submit them to Cdre. Wedge or myself via email so we can verify the kills, landing grade, and Alive/Dead status. Please send screenshots in JPG form, preferably in zip file to save transfer time.

Pilots who are killed during the missions will have a 48hr stand-down from campaign flight, EJECTS will have a 24hr stand-down and if possible a screenshot of the map showing their location should be taken to evaluate SAR possibility.

If you are accidentally disconnected during the mission it will be considered an aircraft malfunction and you returned-to-base. INTENTIONAL disconnects will not be tolerated for any reason and will have repercussions on the individual.
