Title: One Scene In the Days Of Our Lives

Summary: In answer to the question, "What's the funniest way you can think of for the Trio to find out about Blaise and Ginny?" No one is in-character, but everyone has fun.

[Scene: Great Hall. The ceiling is dark, but not pitch black as it is the full moon. Harry, Ron and Hermione are eating dinner (spaghetti and meatballs) at the Gryffindor table. Ginny is not in sight.]

Harry: Hey, Ron, do you know where Ginny is?

Ron: [looks up from food, spaghetti strand hanging from mouth] Wha'? Oh, her. [swallows; glob of sauce is left] She mentioned she was going to get some more studying done in the library, I think.

Hermione: [sinks lower into her seat, bringing Potions book up to cover face; speaks in high-pitched voice] Yeah, that's what she's doing. She said that, yes.

Harry: [eyes Hermione curiously] Do you know something we don't know?

Hermione: [chokes on pumpkin juice] Why would you think that?

Ron: [pounds Hermione on the back, completely oblivious]

[There is a sudden commotion as Ginny runs into the Great Hall, her robe partially undone, her hair loose. Blaise runs in right after her.]

Blaise: Ginny, please! We have to talk about this!

Ginny: [whispering, but still heard throughout the Great Hall] Not here, Blaise!

Blaise: But I have to---

Ginny: [eyes begin to water] You aren't going to break up with me here, in front of everyone!

Blaise: [looks bewildered for a minute before the light comes on] Ginny! Why would you think that? I love you! [gets down on one knee, pulls huge diamond ring out of pocket] Ginny Weasley, will you marry me?

[Loud thump is heard from the Gryffindor table. Ron has fainted. Harry is staring open-mouthed at the display, and Hermione has sunk below the table by now. The rest of the Hall is watching with rapt attention, including the teachers.]

Ginny: [gasps, throws arms around Blaise's neck and kisses him soundly; he falls backward and the ring goes flying--straight over to the Slytherin table] Of course I will!

[Loud thump is heard from the Gryffindor table again; Harry has passed out as well. Ron's still out cold. Hermione cannot be seen. Pansy Parkinson catches the ring, and is grinning evilly, putting it on when she is knocked over the head with a Potions book and Hermione grabs the ring from her pudgy hand. The whole Hall cheers, watching the Blaise/Ginny display.]
