Ginny wandered pointlessly around the halls of Hogwarts, underneath Harry's Invisibility Cloak. Harry hadn't known Ginny would take it at night, and Ginny hoped that Harry would forgive him if he ever found out.

The hallways were unusually dark this time of night and always cast a shadow of enigma and magic upon the castle. The stars above glittering brighter than the other, as if they were competing in some sort of competition. The moon sheding silver light through the windows and into the hallways. It was Ginny's only source of light, for the torches were out.

Ginny didn't know why she was walking through the school at night, it wasn't like her most of the time. In fact, it was only since she met Blaise Zabini did Ginny ever consider stealing Harry's Invisibility Cloak. Ginny sighed like a school-girl in love. She had met Blaise Zabini in her fifth year at Hogwarts. At first, the two didn't like each other much and were often seen glaring at one another. But, eventually, Blaise began to flirt with her -- though he always caught himself and stopped. Ginny was confused beyond all reason, but chocked it up to him being a prat and that's that.

Then, Blaise kissed Ginny while they were doing some late night studying near the lake. Ginny relished in the kiss and found herself losing control. Blaise almost took it further, but controlled himself and told Ginny that he was sorry. Ginny told him he had nothing to be sorry about.

Since then, Blaise and Ginny had been secretly seeing one another for quite some time. Hermione found out about it early in Ginny's sixth year and hadn't breathed a word of it to Harry or Ron -- of which, Ginny was grateful. Luna knew right from the start, even before it happened. Ginny didn't know how, but she didn't question her about it. Harry and Ron still had no clue, though both were suspicious. Ginny would always come late to dinner, breakfast, or lunch looking thoroughly snogged. Or she would leave early and not return until late, still looking thoroughly snogged.

Ron and Harry knew that Ginny had a boyfriend of some sort, but they had no grounds to base it on and they kept quiet.

So, here Ginny was, strolling through the hallways of Hogwarts at night, with no destination in mind. She faintly realised that she was nearing the Slytherin entrance. She shrugged and kept walking. Then, something moved in the darkness. Ginny cursed that the Invisibility Cloak obstructed her vision so much that she could only faintly make out that the thing was human. She brought out her wand and whispered, "Lumos". Only she could see the light underneath the Cloak, and see the glittering, alert green eyes before her.

Ginny blinked in realisation. "Blaise?"

Blaise jumped, but relaxed somewhat. He walked over to Ginny and pulled off her Cloak (Ginny didn't know how, but Blaise always seemed to know exactly where she was standing when wearing the Cloak). He gave her a reprimanding glare before covering both of themselves and hurrying into shadow.

"Ginny, what are you doing here?"

Ginny blinked and scratched her head, looking quite adorable while doing so. "Um...I don't know. I just need to go for a walk and found myself walking towards the Slytherin dungeons. Don't worry, Blaise, nobody could've seen me. I'm wearing Harry's Invisi-." Blaise covered Ginny's mouth with his hand as he pressed her further into the shadows.

Severus Snape walked quickly through the corridor as if on a mission, each stride determined before it was made. He walked right past them without sparing them a second glance.

Ginny rolled her eyes as Blaise pushed her even further into the darkness. Snape would never see them. Hear them, perhaps, but never see them.

When Snape was clear out of earshot, Blaise removed his hand, but stayed close to her. Ginny found herself melting into him. "Ginny, get back to bed. We agreed on only three nights a week."

Ginny gave him a look of protest and firmly stood her ground. "No. I wasn't expecting to run into you, Blaise. But here I am. How can we tempt Fate by me leaving?"

Blaise raised his eyebrows. "Tempt Fate? What are you talking about?"

Ginny crossed her arms. "Well, it's obvious, isn't it?" Ginny shuddered, thinking she sounded exactly like Hermione Granger for a moment. "I was wandering around without purpose and somehow, was making my way into the Slytherin dungeons. And then I find you, of all people, here. I mean, you don't exactly go out every night, do you? Isn't it strange that tonight of all nights, you decide to go for a walk?"

Blaise blinked back surprise. The little red-head was right. He didn't know why he wanted to go for a walk, but he just needed to. "Hm, fancy that. Well, as long as we're obeying Fate's orders, care for stroll near the lake?"

Ginny chuckled to herself. "Yeah, I think that'll be okay."

-

Ginny sighed as she leaned in closer to Blaise. They were sitting underneath a very large tree near the lake and staring at the celestial heavens above. Ginny looked up at Blaise and noticed that he looked deep in thought. "Something on your mind, Blaise?"

Blaise jumped, clearly surprised to find Ginny so close to him. "Um, no. Nothing on my mind."

Ginny furrowed her brow. "You know, usually you're really good at lying. But I don't know what's up tonight. You've completely lost the ability to hide anything."

Blaise glared affectionately down at Ginny and she smiled. Ginny's smile was infectious and he found his own features lightening. "I was thinking about us after my term here has ended."

Ginny abruptly changed her face into that of worry. "Yeah, I've been thinking about that too."

Blaise found that Ginny was immediately, and probably subconciously, distancing herself and closing all open doors to her heart, preparing for the worst. "Well, I'm not going to break up with you." Ginny was back. "So I was thinking, maybe we should tie the knot."

Ginny jumped and stared. "Tie the knot?"

"Yeah, it's a Muggle expression, Ginny. It means to-."

"I know what it means," Ginny mumbled. "You want to marry me?"

Blaise felt himself closing the doors to his emotions. "If that's what you want."

Ginny tried to find the words, but she couldn't even think. Was she happy beyond all doubt? Or was she worried that Blaise was only joking with her. "You want to marry me?" It was the only thing she could think of.

Blaise furrowed his brow, getting slightly annoyed. "Yes, I do."

"Marry me?"

"Yes."

"Me?"

"Yes, you."

"Me-?"

"Ginny, is it a yes or no?"

Ginny looked up at Blaise for a second, felt herself warm and tingly all over, despite the brisk night air. She smiled with tears of joy in her eyes. Instantly, she found herself throwing her arms around Blaise and burying herself in his shoulder.

"Is that a yes?"

Ginny began laughing, a laughter that was muffled by Blaise's shoulder.

"Well, I suppose I'll take that as a yes, then."

Ginny began to laugh and scream harder.
