| Eagle's the pretty boy of the series I think.Being that he's chief commander of the NSX-Autozams battleship-Eagle's first introduced in the begining of the second season of the anime and in Vol.4 of the graphic novels. In both the manga and the anime his mission is to invade Cephiro and sieze control over the Pillar system. As the story unfolds, we come to realize that Eagle really isn't all that bad a guy and that Autozams invasion is some what justified, because they're only trying to save their country. How was it that he decided to join the invasion? Well first of all, he was kinda ordered to. Second of all, he accepted to go along because he was dying of some incurable desease. Though he knew that doing this would be betraying his close friend Lantis, Eagle decided to try to become the Pillar so that he could save his planet. And also because of his personal wish to die as a warrior. In the manga Eagle ends up in a comma like state in the end, where as in the anime he dies trying to protect the Magic Knights. It's so sad, but it works because its sort of what he wanted. And if there was anything for him to regret, it was probably his betrayal. |
| Okay, that being said. Lets take a look at him from another perspective. It wounld seem as though in both the anime and the manga that when Lantis was in Autozam, a special bond formed between Lantis and Eagle. Whether it was a romantic relationship is purely up to the reader. Being that I'm not the biggest of shonen ai or yaoi, I just choose to believe that they were just friends. Very close friends-the best of friends, though they're relation ship could have bordered on romantic... |
