About how the Galaxy Trio came to be.

I had decided that the galaxy needed protection against the forces of evil. I traveled from one planet to another, but could find no one suitable for the job.
That is, until I came to the planet Vaporus.
I saw a strange man firing vapor at a monster. When the creature ran away, I walked up to him. "May I have a word with you?" I asked.
"Yes," he said. When we went to his home, I introduced myself. "I am the Chief of The Intergalactic Police," I said.
"And I am Noban of Vaporus," he answered.
"How is it that you can turn into vapor?" I queried.
"It is an ability all Vaporians have," he explained.
"Would you like to come work for me?" I asked. "I could use someone like you."
To my delight, Noban agreed. We left the planet, and moved on to planet Gravitas. I instructed my protege to stay aboard.
Before long, I came upon a beautiful red-haired woman. She was shooting rays from her fingers just to lift some rocks off the ground. I asked to speak with her, explaining my purpose.
"I am Princess Barina of Gravitas," she informed me. "I'd be glad to join your team, but I need to ask my father."
We went to see the king, and he granted permission.
"Thank you, Father," Barina said gratefully.
I needed one more for the team. I headed for the planet Meteorus. There, I found a man with pointed ears. He made his fists bigger, and also grew to an incredible height. I approached him.
"My name is Cardos," he said when I'd stated my business. "If you need a strong man to defend the galaxy, I'm the one."
He got into my ship, and I flew the trio back to headquarters. For several months, I trained them to use their skills against the enemies of the universe. At the end of their training, I called them in for a meeting.
"You have done well," I told them. "But now, if you don't mind, I find it necessary to change your names."
The three were astonished by this decision, but finally they agreed.
"Noban, your new name will be Vapor Man. Barina, you are now Gravity Girl. And Cardos, your new name is Meteor Man. Collectively, you will be known as the Galaxy Trio."
They saluted, and said, "Galaxy Trio, ready for action!"
I then showed them their personal spaceship, Condor One. "You will patrol the galaxy in this," I said. "I will contact you if there is trouble on any planet."
"I'm an experienced pilot," Meteor Man volunteered. "I'll fly the ship."
"Condor One also has a defense shield you can use in case of attack," I continued. "Also Lazon cubes that will enable you to displace yourselves to and from any planet without having to land the ship."
The Galaxy Trio boarded Condor One, vowing to fully commit themselves to their assignments. As they flew away, I smiled proudly, knowing the cosmos would be safe with them on the job.
