Information on Raoul and Colette's Story

Dear Readers of this story,
To those of you who have been waiting for this story for months, I must say that it is, in truth, not yet completed. I have a feeling that before long I will have the entire first half of this story rewritten, with a new first part. However, since you all have waited so long and I need an idea on how you like the current plot, Ive decided to post the first few parts of the story anyway. I cant guarantee that it will be all that Ive promised you, as I personally look upon it as one of my lesser-quality, absolutely worthless, insipid works. I enjoyed writing it the first time, but it was a story which was placed together in a moments time in my head, then transferred through the keyboard to you.

I have decided that the original first two parts are absolutely too trite and dry to allow anyone besides the author to read them, so I am now submitting to you the original third part as the first part, with this introduction to hopefully help you understand who the principal characters are and how they relate to each other. I hope that it makes enough sense this way... If you have any major plot questions, go ahead and email me about them. Or you could post in the stories forum--oh, you didnt know there was a stories forum? Its only been there for a year or so. :)

Oh, and of course, Im always open to title suggestions on this story!

So, without further ado, I give you the rest of the introduction.

The Place:
The first half:The Chagny estate, on the outskirts of Paris, France
The second half: The Paris Opera House (for the most part)

The Time:
The story begins in the early summer of 1872, and ends in 1882

The Principal Characters:

Raoul de Chagny. At the beginning of the story, our Vicomte is eighteen years old, living at the Chagny family estate with his older brother.

Colette de Chagny. Raouls sixteen-year-old cousin. Every summer since 1869, Colette has spent at least a month on the Chagny estate. She and Raoul are closer than a brother and sister, and tell each other pretty much anything.

Philippe de Chagny. Raouls thirty-eight-year-old brother, also Colettes cousin. He is master of the estate, and he usually allows Raoul to have his way--though Raoul usually will have it no other way.

There are plenty of other principals, guys, but if I tell you about them now you wont get the intriguing surprises when theyre introduced in the story--je suis desole!

OK now, I really hope you enjoy this story, even if I think its worthless. As always, tell me what you think (and Ill gladly listen to you if you tell me to take this story down!), and well, in closing, I say this:

If you want the next part, youd better ask for it!
