These binoviewers compare to some of the best on the market. They have been reviewed by Todd Gross, Astronomy Product Reviewer, at www.weatherman.com in his Astroproduct review page and then on the All About Binoviewers page and then under the heading of True Binocular Style binoviewers. He has set up a link to a page specifically for my binoviewers that he reviewed.. If you have never owned or seen binoviewers I recommend you read his web page about the variety of binoviewer styles and the types he recommends. It is very, very interesting.
These binos have a 2.3x barlow permanently fixed or they can come without the barlow for the Schmidt-Cassengrain telescope. They are less than 2lbs and have eyepiece clear aperture of 22mm. These accomodate 1.25" eyepieces up to 45mm without restriction or light loss. They can be used in any .965" or 2" scope with the use of a 1.25" adapter.
Because of the internal barlow and reflective properties it fully corrects the image (meaning image is correct from left to right and rightsideup) in Newtonian telescopes, which is great for Terrestrial viewing. These binos have been tested with over 300x magnificiation without significant resolution breakdown. These produce unbelievable views of the moon, Jupiter, Saturn, as well as incredible detail of the Orion Nebula to mention just a few.
Now I was out just the other night with my 4 year old daughter using my 10" Dobsonian f7.4, binoviewers and my eyepieces and she was absolutely thrilled at the moon she was seeing thru them. She was so excited that she had to go tell her mother how big the moon was she was looking at and how she saw the crouters (craters) :-) on the moon. |
