Picnic surprise!
Well, I guess it was worth it. When I showed up at Stephanie's back door she just stood there and stared at me for the longest time. I had to ask her three times if I could come in. The next thing I knew I was being drug up to her bedroom and … well, I ended up looking like this.
Pretty awesome, huh? I didn't know my hair was long enough for braids.
It's funny what a difference something silly like a little dress, lipstick and some hair ribbons can make on a guy. I mean, I feel like I oughta be out playing ball with the guys, but standing in front of a girl like Stephanie … and seeing that funny look in her eyes … well, another part of me says if I leave I might miss something really neat. And I don't think I wanna do that. No way, no how!
I know, I know … if I do stay I gotta put up with nail polish and lipstick and girl talk … but that's okay, I guess. It's actually a lot of fun. I especially like it when Stephanie insists on adjusting my clothes or touching up my makeup. Sometimes she'll stop and give me a smile that makes me feel like I'm melting inside.
I bet the guys won't even miss me ….
