Tommy's Halloween Surprise!

Oh, man … this isn't what I meant! Stupid hairband .. stupid feather duster … stupider shoulder straps! I feel like I'm about to fall out of this ridiculous thing!

Oh, well. Things could be worse, I guess. I don't know how, but I'm sure they could be. At least it's not raining. Maybe in a few days no one will remember what a fool I made out of myself tonight. Then again, maybe they will. Between my friend Stephanie and her girlfriends and the guys I play ball with … I could be in some serious trouble.

Then again, what's the worst thing they can do to me? Snap my bra?

Aunt Betty is at it again. She's telling Mom that she wants me to come over and clean her house next weekend. Mom's playing along, saying something about that being a good way to pay my way through summer camp. "This could be a whole new career opportunity for you, sweetie," she says. She's just kidding, of course. At least I hope so ….
