How can girls wear this stuff? I'm not even dressed yet and I'm about to go nuts! All this flimsy silky lacy stuff is tickling me like crazy. My mom says real girls don't pay much attention to that kind of thing. She says boys are the ones who worry about it more than anyone else. She says we're always afraid of being called a sissy or fairy or whatever. Then she gives me this funny smile and says I should never worry about that kind of stuff and just do whatever I feel is right.

Sometimes she says the dumbest things, but … well, don’t tell her I said so, but I really think she's great!
