You're no help at all. You could have stopped all this, but you didn’t! I bet you think this is pretty funny, don’t you? Well, if I had my way, I’d make you dress up like this. Then see how you’d feel!

Geez, I was supposed to play in a ball game this afternoon. The way things are going, it look like I’ll be helping Mom with her sewing just as the first batter steps up to the plate. Oh, well. It’s just as well. It’s either try on dresses all day or spend my time playing with a stupid doll, singing to it and changing its clothes and stuff like that.

Talk about boring. Gee whiz ….

Can I tell you a secret? Well, actually … see, I really don’t mind so much. Even the stuff with the doll. See, Mom really likes these little "mother-daughter days" together and I kinda like seeing her smiling like she’s been doing lately … even if I have to dress and act like a goof.

At least I get to help bake cookies. That’s always fun … especially when I get to lick the bowl!
