Shabbat evolved.

Oh, we always did the usual things that any traditional family does on Shabbat. However, the meals took on an added significance as time went on.

Serendipity. We noted events of �� that we felt around us during the week
Parsha groaners: We developed little games representing a Passuk in the Parsha
Parsha questions: Downloaded from Ohrnet on the Internet. Tehilla usually knows most of the answers.
Discussion list: Abba spent the entire week preparing a long list of topics to discuss on Shabbat - with everybody at the table, and individually after the meals. It was a major day of understanding each other without interruptions from phone calls and daily routine
Reporting on exciting events of the previous week
Sharing the latest photographs that were returned
Sharing the latest activities on Father's forums in which somebody in need was helped
Sharing the latest humor as a break between these things
Shin Dee
- That stands for Shabbat Discussion
- Shin Dee is a centrally-located basket
  - People placed things in the Shin Dee basket throughout the week
  - On Shabbat, we share the items that were placed in the Shin Dee basket
Shabbat Table
- The Shabbat Table is next to the dining room table
- It folds down so that we have a neat dining room during the week
- However, since we never clear off the table, it stays open all the time
- It gets cleared off and placed in a box before Pesach
- By that time, the table is piled quite high
