This year we had some changes in the hometel. First of all we had it the Shabbos after Pesach because of the calendar setup. It was quite appropriate that after all of the work of preparing for Pesach and cleaning up from Pesach the Shabbos after that was quiet, no cooking, practically no clean up.
This year the decorations were simple and the preparations minimal. The color scheme for this year was beige and burgundy. The food was lovely. The girls prepared a few games and activities for the meals. The girls had a busy schedule right before Pesach.
The theme for the hometel was the yahrtzeit of Yehoshua ben Nun and the activities were centered around Eretz Yisroel.
Yoni had been with us for the seder but he was not with us for the hometel. He went to Switzerland during Chol HaMoed and spend ten days with Aharon Krauss.
It was lovely and very much appreciated.
