In 5765/2005 Devorah, Tehilla, and Yoni did it again. Again, the HomeTel was postponed about a month from the parents' anniversary to Shabbat Hagadol, right before Pesach. It was wonderful!
This time the HOmeTEL was reversed – it became a TEL Home. The house was decorated with ancient ruins and stone arches over each doorway. The rooms were identified with signs in Greek letters. Strategically-placed large round rocks and pine cones decorated the floors. The menus were written in ancient lettering on parchment-looking paper. We were each given a large rock on which the old alphabets were written with their English equivalent, so that we could decipher what we were eating. The cheat sheet was heavy, but we couldn't slip it up our shirt sleeves.
The food was simple, plentiful, and tasty. The Triumphant Trio cleaned up easily, since everything was prepared on disposable dishes.
It was lovely, and very much appreciated.
