Week Beginning 9/5/01
Friday's Commentary:
Today went fairly well, considering the hell that senior year is. Our assembly went smoothly
(aside of a major contact problem I had, which didn't really affect it). Tennis was good.
I would say great, but I know I should have won my first set, rather than losing 4-6. But
aside of that set, I won my second set 6-0. BAGEL!! SWEET! =) Haha. Oh, and Fossum came to
visit. Yay! Dang... I miss him so much. Especially with some of my teachers. I'm almost
afraid to name names now that it seems this site has had some exposure. I doubt any of you
are frequent readers, but I don't know if I'd want to dis some of my anal/evil teachers.
Oh, well- summary:
0- We're falling behind. Not good!
1- Lee's trying, but I think she's having a tough time of it. I hope everything works well
for her. She seems really nice.
2- ASB- good assembly. I'm a Finley. I can't dance.
3- Econ was probably the boringest class I ever sat through. And I have a whole semester
left!
4- English is alright. I did well on my quiz, and she's making it worth mega-points, so I'm
thrilled about that. Oh, and for our Power Point Presentation- the Three Amigos have
rejoined- Mike, Suz, me. Wahoo! Time for Suz and me to do work, and Mike to not! Haha.
5- Physics is physics. Not much to say. But Fossum was there, so it made it better.
Thursday's Commentary:
Today was a little better. I'm WAY too tired to say much. So I'll just rank. (Doing this
a little differently this week.)
0- 1.5 weeks for a paper is rough. Too little time.
1- Stats is alright. I feel sorry for Lee in this big of a class and some obnoxious students.
2- ASB rocks. We have an assembly tomorrow. I can't dance though, just a warning.
3- Econ is by far the worst. If you've talked to me recently, you know why.
4- Kasper is alright. English doesn't suck too much. Though I'm still not good at it. However,
today's quiz was not at all Holmesesque, so I'm grateful.
5- Physics- that homework took me too long. I'm confused.
6- I got my butt wiped clean off the court today, but I still had some good shots.
Conclusions: Um... I'm TIRED?! And it's not even the bad stuff, yet!
Wednesday's Commentary:
"If you're going through hell, keep going." Winston Churchill.
Well, it's going to be a long trudge through senior year. I guess I shouldn't be so harsh
as to immediately spew out: I hate all my classes! Because, well, I don't. I like
Journalism and Leadership, because they don't feel like actual classes. Aside of that, I'm
still bitter I can't be in Math HL, I wish I were in the IB History class now, and
dangit... I just don't really care for any of my teachers. Ok, so even though my teachers
probably had issues with me last year, at least I still liked them, so it
was all good for me. Oh, well. I will just
pray very, very hard that somehow it will all go away... So here are my predictions
for the year, assuming a lack of divine intervention.
0- Journalism will rock.
1- Ms. Lee will grow on me, but I won't like Stats as much as I would have liked Math HL.
2- Leadership will be just dandy.
3- Economics will be boring, uninteresting, and I won't be prepared for the AP.
4- Kasper is not too bad, she might actually be sympathetic. However, as a person who only
does well in English due to outside essays, I'm doomed. I'm not a "reader" either, so I'm
most definitely screwed.
5- Physics just doesn't do it for me. I don't particularly like the idea of the subject,
I've heard some bad stuff (to say the least), and just, blah. What more can I say? I'll
have to make the most of it. (Which means Eric and I will have to learn to sabotage
Margaret's grades.)
6- I'm going to enjoy tennis. Mainly because I can imagine certain people's heads as the
balls.
General prediction: Favorite class will be statistics.
Did I mention I won't be sleeping this year? Haha. Fossum, you are probably laughing
sadistically at this, and good for you. You deserve the break. Joo, another year of
work for you, sorry. Watkins- save me!!
