The next morning the room was silent as they had breakfest. "So how'd you sleep?"Philip asked putting down his newspaper. "Fine."Chloe lied."What about you." "The same."Philip lied back.His night had not been fine.He had spent the night asking himself the same questions again and again. "So I'll meet you at Salem Place around noon and we'll go shopping."She noded and he left.As soon as she heard the door close she let out a sigh. "God I wish these three months were over already." ********** Chloe was walking around Salem Place when Belle walked up to her. "Chloe what are you doing here?"Belle said in a shocked tone. "Belle I'm back and living in Philip's house."Belle's eyes widened. "Your joking right?"When Chloe didn't respond Belle smiled."Does this mean you forgot the past?Does this mean that Philip knows about....?"Chloe didn't let her finish. "Belle!No I didn't forget the past and no Philip doesn't know about Ryan.I don't want him to find out either.I'm only back to help Philip with a problem and then I'm going back to Chicago and I'll be free." "Chloe,you couldn't have just come back to help Pihlip?" "Well I did."Belle rolled her eyes. "Yeah you just came back to help Philip and I'm Madonna.You came back because you still feel something for Philip." "Okay maybe I do, but I only came back to kill it.I've suffered to long to come back and fall for Philip again.Besides you know what I went throught with Philip.The hell he,his father and Jan put me through.I don't want to live through it again." "Life is wonderful with Shawn,Madison,and Alex.Shawn is always sweet and the twins are a handful.But back to you what will happen if you discover that you still have strong feelings for Philip?" "Drop it Belle.Enough about Me and Philip.I don't want to hear his name out of your mouth again." "Well then I'll just say that your ex is over there."Chloe turned and looked as Philip made his way to them. "Hey Belle,Chloe.How's everything?" "Fine.Well I have things to do.Bye Philip,bye Chloe."She winked at Chloe and mouthed good luck.Philip watched Belle go. "So what were you talking about?"he said turning to face Chloe. "Nothing.Mostly about Ryan.She hasn't seen him since last year when she went on vaction to Chicago." "Okay.So you ready to shop?"she noded and they headed off into the shops. **********Chloe and Philip walked in laughing.Ryan was laughing also. "Philip I haven't had that much fun in a while.You said we were going shopping,but did we really have to have Ryan model everything?" "What you didn't like it? thought he looked cool when he came out in his tux and the mobster suit was funny.But the gangster pants were just to hilairious.I couldn't stop laughing." "I thought they were funny,but what was funnier was when you slipped and fell face first into the snow." "That wasn't funny!" "Yes it was."Chloe walked over to the playpen in the living room and placed Ryan in.She turned back to Philip."It was really funny.Everyone was laughing." "It was not!"he stepped foward. "It was too funny."she stepped foward.They were now only inches away.They stood still for seconds but Chloe moved away when Philip tried to touch her. "Um,we've had a long and busy day and I'm tired so I'll go take a nap." "Yeah.Whatever."she noded and headed off.Philip watched her go.He had done it again.He had gotten to close.He tried to remind himself that once the three months were over she would be gone again. ************* Chloe shut the door behind her.Why was being around Philip affecting her so much?She thought that the feelings she felt for him were gone,but they had only subsided.And now they were back agian and stronger then before.No!She couldn't be fooled twice,this time she wouldn't suffer for Philip's love.This time she would make him pay for everything that he had done to her.This time it would be different.
Chloe walked down the stairs and looked into the dinning room.Philip was in there playing with Ryan.They looked so happy playing together.If only he know the truth.If he only knew that Ryan was his son.But he'd never find out,what he had done to her and what she had done to him was something horrible.She doubted they'd ever forgive each other just like Philip's father had predicted.Their marriage was doomed from the second she said I do.After that second their marriage became a living nightmare.Chloe snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Ryan begin to cry.Philip tried to keep him quiet,but it didn't work so Chloe stepped in. " Have a nice nap?" "Yes.Gave me time to clear my head.What about you?What have you been doing?" "Playing with Ryan.We played a little soccer.Then we watched Beauty and the Beast." "Sounds like you guys had fun." "We did." "Great." ********** It was around one a.m now and still Chloe couldn't find sleep.She diceded that she was too recked to sleep so she'd take a walk.She grabbed her robe and headed towards the door.She took one last look at Ryan before she headed out.She was walking through the hall when she heard a noise.She paused and looked around.Nothing was moving so she headed on.She crept as qiuetly as possible and headed out the patio door. ************ Philip was looking at his ceiling when he heard footsteps in the hall.He got up and slightly opened the door.The door craked as he opened it.He peered out and saw Chloe looking around.Where on earth could she be going at this time of night?He waited until she had left and then followed her. ********** Chloe walked down the path that leda to the Williow tree.It had been so long since she had visted the tree to tell it what was going on in her head.Ever since things between her and Philip had started going bad the Williow tree was her refuge.The tree knew more things about her then Philip had ever cared to find out about.The tree knew everything.From the reason she had hated Philip to what happen with their first child.She was almost there now,just over the small hill and behind the curtain of weeds that hid the tree.She doubted Philip knew the tree exsited.She pulled the weeds aside and behind them was the beautiful tree.She looked at it.Time seemed to stand still for the tree.It still looked the same as it did when she had left. ************ Philip followed Chloe as she walked down the path.It was the path to the Williow tree.He knew the path well by now.This was the last place Chloe had went before she had left his house.After she had left he had come many times here to wonder.And now Chloe was going back.Something must be happening.He saw Chloe step in and he followed trying not to make a sound. ******* Chloe sat indian style in front of the tree. "Hello Willa.How's it been going?I've been fine,maybe not fine,but okay.You know me.Not even Philip could bring me down.Anyways I came to tell you that I've got new problems.Mimi before I left told me to resolve these problems with Philip or she'd tell him the truth.You,Meems,Belle,Shawn, and Brady are the only ones who know my secrets and no one will tell.I hope.Anyways I knew my return would stirr up feelings in both Philip in me,but I had hoped that mine would be hatered,not love.Even after everything he did to me and I did to him I still love him.I wish that all this was a dream and that I would wake up and be millions of miles away from Philip,but it's not a dream.I'm here and so is Ryan.I mean I'm glad to back in Salem,but not just beacause Belle and Shanw are here but also beacuse Philip's here.Two years have passed and yet I'm still hold onto a hope that our marriage will work.Boy am I a fool.That thing was dead before it started.Anyways I play wife for a few more weeks and then it's bye-bye Philip and Salem.But maybe that'll be for the best.Things never work out for me.I help people out and I get screwed.See thta's what I get for helping Brady,Mimi and Jan.they all got what they wanted and I got left by myself.Well it's getting late now and I better be getting back to the house.Bye Willa.I'll be back soon."Chloe got up and walked out. ************ Philip watched Chloe walk out.So she still loved him!He had thought he was imaginning it,but had been right.Chloe felt the same thing he did.Now all he had to do was win her back.
