Ø REFEREES’ DECISIONS
FINAL IN ALL CASES
Ø 7 minutes each half
(including semi.s & finals);
Ø yellow cards in
different matches, forget them;
Ø red card from 2
yellows in same match, 2 minute 'sin-bin';
Ø red card for
violent/dangerous play (as decided by ref), miss rest of that match plus all of
the next one;
Ø maximum 3 touches
& then release (3 solo's, 2 solo's & 1 hop etc.), otherwise free kick;
Ø free kicks from
hands or ground;
Ø kicks-out from hands
on end-line;
Ø sidelines from
hands;
Ø unlimited, rolling
subs;
Ø all subs to enter at
mid-field;
Ø no 50's unless a
deliberate ploy by defenders (refs decide)
Ø maximum squad size
of 12 for each game
Ø in the event of two
or more teams finishing level on points in a Group, rank decided - under refs’
supervision - by:-

if still level, highest score for; and
·
if still level, toss of coin by one of the refs;
Finally, hosts reserve the right to change the tournament form on the
day if needs must.

the E19:-
Ø
Paris missed
this first turn last year, so start looking after you pass the exit for
Nivelles & the filling station straddling motorway;
Ø
Turn right off
the E19 onto the Brux Ring East going anti-clockwise towards Waterloo/Antwerp;
Ø
Go past
Waterloo & continue until you exit the tunnel immediately after the un-numbered Exit for
E411/Luxembourg/Namur;
Ø
Take the next
Ring Exit 1 (very quickly after tunnel) and turn right onto the N3 towards
Tervuren and/or Leuven:
For Frankfurt Munich & Luxembourg, coming
North up the E411:-
Ø
Exit right off
E411 onto Brussels Ring going anti-clockwise towards Zaventem Airport, Antwerp
etc;
Ø
Almost
immediately, take the next Ring Exit 1 and turn right onto the N3 towards
Tervuren and/or Leuven:
For Frankfurt & Munich if coming (via
Cologne/Aachen) West on E40:-
Ø
Exit left onto Brussels
Ring going clockwise towards Luxembourg/Waterloo etc;
Ø
Take the Ring
Exit 1 (quite a big one with several roads leading off it) and turn left onto
the N3 towards Tervuren/Leuven:
For the Hague, coming South on the E19:-
Ø
Exit left onto
Brussels Ring East going clockwise towards Zaventem Airport/Luxembourg/Waterloo
etc;
Ø
Take Ring Exit
No 1 (the same one with several roads leading off it) and turn left onto the N3
towards Tervuren/Leuven.
OK, from all directions,
all now turning onto the N3 towards Tervuren/Leuven:-
Ø
After about 3
km.s, at the second roundabout, take the third exit left towards
Leuven/Bertem;
Ø
After 1km will
be the African Museum on your right with a big concrete statue of an elephant
opposite on the left;
Ø
Drive into
& sort of straight thru that car-park where the elephant is, cross the
little street up there and another 50 metres to a roundabout where you veer
first left & then right & up top you’ll find the pitches

DIRECTIONS
(am presuming all will have a map of Brux)
From Airport
to Hotels:
Ø Train to Gare Centrale;
Ø Change to Metro Line 1a
(terminus Hermann-Debroux) or 1b (terminus Stockel);
Ø Metro Station Maelbeek for
the Europa InterContinental (directly above)
Ø Metro Station Schuman for
Euroflat (cross over within station);
Ø Metro Station Merode for the
Derby on Av de Tervuren (again cross before exiting);
From
Luxembourg train to hotels:
Ø Get off at Schuman Station;
Ø For Hotel EuroFlat, get out
there;
Ø For Hotel Derby switch to
Metro Line 1a or 1b (dir H-Deb or Stokel) to Merode (first stop).
From wherever
to the Centre Sportif Hostel:
Ø Take Metro Line 1a (terminus
Hermann-Debroux);
Ø Get out at H-Deb Station
(last stop)
Ø Walk for about 10 minutes
making sure the raised motorway is on your left;
Ø You'll see Centre Sportif on
your right past a few garages.
Public
transport from all points to British School of Brussels (BSB):
Ø Go to Montgomery Metro
Station (following Line 1b terminus Stockel);
Ø Switch from Metro to No 44
Tram;
Ø Stay on Tram till the last
stop;
Ø Ask the Tram driver to point you towards the
African Museum (5 minutes walk);
Ø Directly opposite Museum is
a big concrete Elephant;
Ø Pitches a few hundred metres
behind there (at roundabout veer left & then right).
Cars etc
between Hotels & BSB:
Ø Ask at hotels how to get
onto the Avenue de Tervuren dual carriageway;
Ø Follow that straight out
crossing straight over the Ring (where Av de T becomes the N3);
Ø You already have directions
from that point, the Ring/N3 junction, to the BSB & pitches;
Ø Going back, for Hotel Derby,
exit Av de T onto Montgomery Roundabout (not under), go straight through but
keep on the inside right road & the Hotel is a few hundred metres down
there;
Ø For other Hotels, continue
into Montgomery tunnel and thru 2 more longer tunnels after that;
Ø For EuroFlat Hotel:-
- keep extreme right lane preparing to exit right immediately
after the second long tunnel
- cross several lanes (Sat
traffic is light) & right onto Rue de Taciturne (immediately past large
building); &
- loop around Square Marie Louise, Rue Palmerstown & Square
Ambiorix onto Boulevard Charlemagne;
If traffic causes you to
miss Rue de Taciturne, continue down right hand lane of big wide Rue de la Loi,
take first right exit onto Rue de Spa, another right back Rue Joseph II, left
at Rue Livingstone & the 2nd
right is Sq Marie Louise again (NOTE that
Livingstone/Joseph II junction is where The Wild Geese Bar is);
Ø For Europa InterContinental, come out of 2nd long tunnel, keep to extreme left lane and it's just a 200 metres, can’t miss it, first on left.

METRO TO THE WILD GEESE BAR
Ø Maelbeek/Maalbeek Metro Station exiting either onto Joseph II (just stroll down to bottom of hill) or on Livingstone (turn left away from railway bridges).
VENUE: Wild Geese Bar (our main EC Gaelic Club
sponsor).
START: Sitting down 8pm.
PRESENTATIONS: 9.30pm
(don't forget the Cup from 2001 Paris, it hasn't resided here for 2 years, it's
time it came home for a year ! ! ! !)
END: Tables & chairs to be completely gone not later than 10.30pm.
MENU: Soup starter, roast beef & apple crumble.
PRICE PER HEAD: 25 euros.
