"Sct. Georg III" from Copenhagen, Denmark
18th century inspired frigate to operate as a restaurant vessel in the lake in Tivoli
in Copenhagen.

"Sct. Georg" from Kurashiki, Japan
Similar vessel delivered for Kurashiki Tivoli Park
in Kurashiki, Japan

"Sct. Georg III" was delivered in 1993 in connection with the 150 years anniversery of Tivoli.

The ship was built at the yard in Hvide Sande, launched for finishing the rigging and afterwards rigging was dismounted for transport to Copenhagen by truck, while the hull was transported to Copenhagen after a tug. In Copenhagen the hull was lifted on a special low bed trailer for transport the last few metres to the lake in Tivoli in the middle of Copenhagen.

By using a large mobil crane, it was possible to get the hull over the threes around Tivoli and in to lake, where the hull could be launched again for finishing the rigging.

The design was developed in co-operation with the architects from Tivoli International.

The ship was built with the idea in mind, that the guest on board the vessel should have the real stuff, so all visible items are made in wooden materials, and the decorations are covered with real gold.

The frigate have its own galley on board and it can seat about 100-120 guests on board. For furhter details about menu, please visit the homepage "Sct. Georg III"
