Degauge for FS98
Version 1.0 - February 1998
Copyright (c) 1998, Rune Molin

Description
-----------
If you are a fanatic FS flightsimmer like me, chances are
that a lot of planes, scenaries, add-ons and panels visit
your harddisk, perhaps only for a very short time.

Almost every time you install a new panel, you copy some
files to the Gauge subdirectory. But what happens when
you delete that panel again ? - those files remain in
the Gauge subdirectory. Degauge will identify those
orphaned gauges, so you can easily get rid of them.

Installation
------------
Copy DEGAUGE.EXE to any directory of your choice. It does
not have to be in the FS98 directory - it locates FS98
automatically.

Operation
---------
When starting, Degauge collects a list of the files in the
Gauges subdirecory. It then scans all Panel.Cfg files it can
find, and notes which gauges are used, and which isn't (this may
take some time - be patient). Any unused files are presented to
you for deletion. You select which files you want deleted and
click the 'Remove' button. Optionally, you can instruct Degauge
to create a backup directory (FS98\Gauges\Backup) and make a
backup of the files it deletes. If you check the 'Generate log'
box, a log file, showing what happened and when, is generated
in the Gauges subdirectory.
