In 2002 the Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay and its supporters became "Foundation Fliers" and completed sponsored Tandem Skydives to raise funds for 'Polio Plus'.

Polio Plus is a collaboration between Rotary's own world wide charity, the Rotary Foundation, and the World Health Organisation and its aim is to completely eradicate Polio from the planet by the year 2005

The final total for this event (including Gift Aid) will be £17,607.44 made up as £15,437.29 sponsorship and £2,170.15 Gift Aid.

Matching grants will be made by various other sponsors such as Bill Gates of Microsoft and it is hoped that the final total will be in excess of £44,000.

The first jump was made on the 18th August - and was a wonderful success!
