Junior Golf Qualification Tournament 2010

This year's Junior Qualifying Golf Tournament will be held at 2:30 on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 (rain date June 2nd) at Winchester Golf Club, Brooklin. The qualifyer is open to all youth (boys and girls) aged 10 - 18 years. (Eighteen year olds must not turn 19 years before August 3, 2010). Age groups for competition are as follows -

10 - 11 years
12 - 13 years
14 - 15 years
16 - 18 years

The top golfer in each group will be sent to the Central Ontario District Tournament which is held in June in Caledon. The top scorers in the 16-18 years group at Caledon will qualify for an all expenses paid trip to the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships held in July/August at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The category winners from Caledon, from other age groups may also qualify, (and may travel to the OIJGC in Florida at their own expense,) based on their scores at Caledon.

All of the money raised by the Optimist Club of Brooklin goes back into programs and helps with all the events we do as "Friends of Youth" in Brooklin.

Registration for this year's qualifying tournament will be accepted after May 1st, 2010.
