Bread Modeling Dough

From: Recipes for Art amd Craft Materials By: Helen Roney Sattler
2 slices day old white bread
2 Tablespoons white glue
2 drops glycerine
4 drops white vinegar
food coloring or poster paint

  1. Cut or tear crusts from bread. Discard crusts.
  2. Bread the bread into small pieces in a bowl.
  3. Add glue, glycerine, and vinegar.
  4. Mix dough with your hands. Knead it until it no longer sticks to your fingers and until it is smooth and pliable.
It will be sticky at frist, but will soon become dough like.
  5. Divide the dough and add a few drops od food coloring to each portion.
  6. Knead until the color is smoothly blended.
  7. This dough will make 2 to 3 smallish objects. I use it to make bead for necklaces and bellydance belts.
  8. Just air dry after you make the objects.

Remember this recipe is not eatable!
