Sophisticated sound
shaping made easy!
From "slap attack" to "growling rock"
in the blink of an eye. Only BassKick offers you the SOUND
MATRIX*, which lets you call up the equivalent of up to four
different pre-configured setting of a 31-band EQ at the twist of
a dial. Each of these fundamental sounds was configured and
fine-tuned by experienced pros.
1 | The
well-rounded bass sound. Deep lows and clear highs, a great starting point for almost any playing style. |
|
2 | Slap
it! The quintessential slap sound - articulate and tight. Reveals all the subtleties of your slapping technique. |
|
3 | Finger
it! Feel the warmth in the tone. Think fretless. Add just a touch of distortion and hear it sing. |
|
4 | Make
it growl! With pick or without, this sound lays a solid foundation for heavy rock bass. |
* BassKick 707 and 515 have four different settings plus a separate on/off switch. BassKick 313 has three different sound settings, the fourth is the off position.
Your sound is as personal as your signature!
With an amp from the BassKick series, you are free to create your own individual sound. Choose to take advantage of the SoundMatrix, or switch it off completely with the bypass switch. Use the Parametric EQ to edit each sound to taste, turning a good basic sound into your own personalized sound simply by adding or cutting as your needs require.
Make yourself heard!
The warm-sounding 15" bass loudspeaker and the switchable HF Horn make sure that the fine nuances of your playing and the character of your instrument come through clearly. Whether you use it for sophisticated soloing or straightforward old-time rock 'n' roll - whatever you throw at it, BassKick throws it right back at you.
The power to cut through!
Hughes & Kettner's unique DynaClip(tm) techonology gives you more usable power when the amp is pushed to the limit, responding like a tube power amp. In other words, more punch per watt.
Bassists want an efficient, effective and easy-to-handle sound-shaping tool. The BassKicks have it: Three and (BassKick 303) and four (BassKick 707/505) basic programs featuring complex filtering let you activate these exceptionally useful sounds directly. In contrast to conventional graphic EQs, the Sound Matrix is designed to interact with the voicing section for the best results. It is also substantially less noisy, avoids comb filtering effects and phase shifting which are the two main culprits when it comes to poor, unclear tone. Even at extreme settings, the Sound Matrix delivers transparent tone and a powerful punch.
Sound Engineering. A close look at the details reveals the priority our design engineers had when they developed the BassKick amps: Great tone. The typical BassKick sound - warm, fat bottom end, punchy mids and brilliant highs - was implemented via revolutionary preamp circuitry that always delivers harmonic, easily-controllable distortion even at peak levels. The 3-band voicing section (BassKick 707/505 features an additional variable midrange control) is designed to shape critical frequencies for maximum efficiency. It lets you fine-tune the Sound Matrix basic sounds or dial in your individual tone, regardless of how radical you want to get.
Cabinets and Housings. The
response of a combo or a bass cabinet is determined primarily by
how the speakers and housing interact. This is precisely why we
insist on exacting standards when it comes to our cabinets.
We use the finest materials such as 13-ply birch (BC cabinets),
MDF (BassKick combos and BR cabinets) and computer-controlled
routers. Sophisticated bracing systems add stability to the
interior and enable clean, precise response.
Speakers. All Hughes & Kettner bass speakers are designed specifically for for the corresponding combo and cabinet. Our objective is to provide you with speakers that deliver the best specs in critical categories such as frequency response, power handling capacity, efficiency and overtone characteristics. These custom speakers are made by the world's leading instrument speaker manufacturers. Ultra-modern processes are used for production and testing.
BassKick BR Cabinets. More compact and in a lower price class than the BC Series, the BR models meet the demand for high-class cabinets featuring a proven design. These cabinets are the ideal counterparts to our BassKick line.
