Introducing Nordica

The New Way To Build A Refrigerated Body For Better Insulation And Reduced Weight.

Composite-style construction is how we do it. It's an innovative process that uses a horizontal, thermally controlled press system to create a composite wall, rather than one that is metal-framed.

Traditional sheet and post walls begins with cut metal fixed into position, welded or fastened mechanically. The skin of the body is then added using adhesives, welding and/or rivets. After the interior and exterior walls are attached to the side wall, post foam is poured in.

By contrast, Supreme's composite technology allows us to bond the insulating foam between the interior and exterior skin, essentially becoming one piece. Sprayed foam is used to fill the rear frame, roof, and front dynamic radius corners.

Increased Insulation Capabilities

Using a horizontal press system results in a highly effective insulated wall. Traditional sheet and post construction with insulation poured in runs the risk of not adhering to the interior and exterior panels for a variety of reasons. But in the Nordica composite wall, the foam is bonded to both panels over the entire surface area, creating a single unit without voids. Almost no metal or wood, both of which conduct heat, are used.

And since the insulation is more efficient, less refrigeration is required, making the body that much more energy efficient.

Lighter Weight

Because the walls do not use metal frame and fastening hardware (like rivets or other metal fasteners required by a metal frame), they are much lighter then walls built conventionally. Lighter-weight walls mean a lighter-weight body, which increases your fuel economy and payloads, lowers your excise taxes, and possibly even lowers your license plate costs.

Choose The Model That Suits You Best

The Noridca comes in four models for additional customization and convenience. The basic Nordica ranges in size from 9-16 feet. However, if you're in the home delivery business or have other reasons why a smaller body would be more practical, there's the Mini Nordica. This body goes on a small, lightweight chassis and features ground loading and unloading. The Mini Nordica is designed for single rear ground loading and unloading. The Mini Nordica is designed for single rear-wheel chassis with 56 or 60 CA in 7-and 8-foot lengths.

As an additional option, you can choose the Nordica Slide-In or Mini Slide-In. This is the same quality, composite-constructed Nordica body, but instead of being mounted on a chassis, it slides into a regular pick-up truck. The advantage of either size slid-in is the freedom it gives you to alter the truck for your changing needs. For instance, if you have a seasonal business and only need a refrigerated body part of the year, you can use the Nordica Slide-In as a regular pick-up during your off-season. It's all part of Supreme's commitment to make sure you get the van body that's best for you.

Nothing Riveting about this Roadster!

Eyes are drawn to smooth, clean lines, especially on the road. That's why the most popular sportscars keep rivets and seams out of sight. And our new composite construction lets you have the same sleek look in your refrigerated van body.

The new Nordica has no rivet lines or panel seams crossing the exterior walls. So they become perfect billboards for your company identification. In addition to ease of painting, the smooth surface means there's less likelihood of painted graphics blistering or bubbling. And of course, no metal rivets in the sidewalls mean no rust. It's just another advantage of the new Nordica by Supreme.

The Nordica is an amazing achievement in a refrigerated truck body. In addition to the benefits of its composite construction process, it's easy and affordable to acquire. That's because Supreme manufactures the Nordica in several production facilities strategically located throughout the U.S. So they can usually be delivered for a minimum of time and expense.

Any way you look at it, Nordica stands apart from competition as the top value in refrigerated body efficiency. It's the new cold standard and a better transportation solution. Only from Supreme!
