You simply input the nominal pipe diameter, the pipe schedule, the flowrate in GPM, the weight per gallon of the fluid, the viscosity of the fluid and the pipe roughness factor. The program also calculates, Reynolds number, linear velocity and the Darcy friction factor by two methods. This program eliminates the need to look up inside pipe diameters in a handbook. For proper alignment of the individual spreadsheet pages be sure only two (2) tool bars are showing and the zoom control is set at 84%. (English units only)

On the other hand it can calculate the initial or final pressure when one of the pressures is known and the flow rate is known. This application is valid for low pressure gas below 1 psig and higher pressure gas starting at 1 psig and above. This program eliminates the need to look up inside pipe diameters in a handbook also.(English units only)
• Molecular Weight Calculator This application is extremely helpful to both chemists and chemical engineers. Simply type in the the empirical formula for the compound in question and the software calculates the molecular weight to 3 decimal places. It pops up as a 2 1/2" by 7 1/2" window and can be used while working on a spreadsheet or MathCad application. This is available from Taftan Data.
